Meeting Ellianna [Hilliard, OH Newborn Photographer]

I was so excited to do Elli's newborn session. Her big sister Emma was one of my first newborns 2 1/2 years ago. I love photographing this family and feel so lucky to have them come back to me month after month and year after year!

Ava is 6 Months [Hilliard, OH Child Photographer]

Sweet Ava is the happiest baby I've ever met! I seriously loved every single image from her session. And, I think her gallery was the largest ever for a single session. I could just take her picture all day :)

I have never met a more smiley baby in my life! Miss Ava will melt your heart the second you lay eyes on her. She was FULL of smiles and personality. I just love her to pieces, and I'm lucky enough to be friends with her beautiful Mommy :)

Jake is 3 months! [Columbus, Ohio Baby Photographer]

Sweet Jake is still as handsome as he was for his newborn session. He was very social and loved looking at everything around him. However, he only wanted to smile for his Mommas :) I can't wait to see him grow up and capture his blooming personality!

Meeting Eliza [Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photography]

Little Eliza was such a sweet girl. She slept well, as long as she got to decide which position she would be in :) I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for the past 3 years, and was so excited to add a 3rd generation to my portfolio! Congratulations Erna, on your beautiful daughter. And, congratulations, Karen, on your gorgeous granddaughter!

Meeting Ava Elise [Hilliard, Ohio Newborn Photographer]

Miss Ava was one of the best sleepers that I've ever had for her newborn session! She was so tiny and petite, and slept like a champ. I've been photographing her big sister, Ellie for 2 years now, so I was so excited to get my hands on little Ava, as well. We didn't get any pictures of the two of them together...because as their mom would say, Ellie was being a "toddler" that day :) But, I hope to get some pics of them together at Ellie's 2 year session coming up soon!

Eric at 6 months [Columbus, Ohio Baby Photographer]

As soon as I saw this boy, my heart melted! I saw him last for his newborn session in the winter. He had changed so much, I didn't even recognize him, but he still had those gorgeous blue eyes. And, oh, that smile! I had so much fun at this session. I could have photographed him all day. Thanks, Andrea, for sharing your handsome little guy with me!

Meeting Jake [Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photography]

Oh, sweet, sweet Jake. He was such a dream for his newborn session. We stopped several times to eat, but other than that he slept perfectly. He was so squishy and had the most gorgeous lips! I had such a hard time picking my favorites from my session. I am so looking forward to photographing this handsome guy in the upcoming year.

Bringing Home Our Baby [Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer]

As many of you know, for the past year, we have been trying to add to our family via foster to adopt. We have now had three devastating fall-throughs, and are ready to move on to a private adoption agency. Unfortunately, adoption is very costly. We know this all too well, as we also adopted our 6 year old daughter at birth through a private agency. To try to offset the cost of this adoption to bring the newest member of our family home, we are doing multiple fundraisers. One of these fundraisers is a HUGE deal to my clients. I am going to be offering Adoption Fundraiser Mini-Sessions. All of the money from these mini-sessions will be going in to our adoption fund, to hopefully bring our baby home by the end of 2011. My daughter is SO ready to be a big sister, and we are SO ready to bring our forever baby home. I plan on offering several mini-session days, and will post dates once I have a list of people interested. Please email me if you are interested and I will let you know what dates will be available! Andrew at 11 months [Columbus, Ohio Baby Photographer]

Isn't he handsome? Andrew was 11 months old when he came to see me. I've been photographing this little guy since he was in his momma's tummy. It's amazing to see how much he's changed! I can't wait to do his 1st birthday session next month! Thanks for being such a happy boy for me, Andrew!

2010 in Review [Columbus, Ohio Portrait Photographer]

I wanted to do a year in review post, and was struggling with how I was going to accomplish it. I decided to choose one picture from each session I did in 2010 and post it here. These are all of my personal favorites from each session. Do you know how hard it is to choose just one picture from a session? Virtually impossible...but I did it! These pictures are not necessarily my client's favorites, nor are they all technically perfect. But, those that I chose are shots that spoke to me in one way or another. They are what I love about photography. THANK YOU to all of my amazing clients for making 2010 successful and rewarding. I am looking forward to 2011 and hope that I will continue to shoot your families for years to come.

Andrew at 6 Months [Columbus, OH Baby Photographer]

I have had the pleasure of photographing this little guy since he was in his momma's tummy. This was my 4th session with this family, and I have to say I enjoy each session just a little more than the last! Andrew is such a happy baby and was so smiley the whole time! Sweet Claudia [Hilliard, Ohio Infant Photographer]

I first met Claudia at 6 weeks old. She slept through her entire session. At her 3 month session, she slept as well :) I was so happy to do this session for her at 6 months, with her outside and awake! She is such a sweet baby with such an old soul. She faithfully takes in her surroundings and studies everything. It was nice to get some smiles out of her! (Well, actually Daddy got smiles out of her!) Thank you, Michelle, for continuing to let me document Claudia's first year!

Ben at 10 months [Columbus, OH Infant Photographer]

I first met Ben when he was 3 months old, and the little guy slept through his entire session! I have photographed him a few more times since then, and this is the first time he was all giggles and smiles! He's normally Mr. Serious, taking everything in. I had a great time with this shoot, and he always makes me smile. How does he not just melt your heart? Thanks to Lacey for letting me continue to capture Ben's 1st year!

Chloe at 6 months [Columbus, OH Infant Photographer]

I first met Chloe's family when I cared for her older brother in the NICU over 8 years ago. I fell in love with her brother in a heartbeat and took care of him on the day he came in to the NICU and the day he went home (along with many days in between!). I have kept in touch with his parents over the past 8 years, and was BEYOND thrilled when his mom contacted me to do Chloe's 6 month pictures. It is times like these that I truly love both of my jobs...both as a nurse and as a photographer. I am touched by people's lives time and time again...and my worlds come together so often. I am so blessed to get to do what I love every day. Thank you, Kara for allowing me to photograph Chloe...and to be a part of your lives for the past 8 years.
